What is Adderall?
Adderall is a combination of two central nervous system stimulant medications used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder-ADHD. It works by increasing norepinephrine and dopamine, two naturally occurring chemicals in the brain that speed up your brain activity and can help increase your ability to pay attention, stay focused on activity, and control behavior problems. It may also be helpful to organize tasks and improve listening skills.
This medicine is also useful in the treatment of chronic sleep disorders that cause extreme daytime drowsiness called narcolepsy by waking you up during the day. Generic Adderall should not be used to treat mild fatigue or tiredness or to keep people awake who do not have a sleep disorder.

There are also chances that your doctor will stop you from taking the medication for a short time to see whether there are changes in your behavior or the medication is still needed.
If you suddenly stop taking Adderall, you may have withdrawal symptoms such as sleep problems, mood changes like depression, severe tiredness, etc. to help you with your symptoms, your doctor may lower your dose slowly. Withdrawal symptoms are more likely if you have used generic Adderall for a long time or in high doses. Tell your doctor right away if you have any withdrawal symptoms.
